Not this year, unfortunately. This season was even leaner on time in the field than usual.

I had an excellent pheasant and hun hunt in South Dakota.

Later this spring I am going to get after the prairie dogs.

Spent lots of field time, but not much hunting!
Got out dove hunting 5 or 6 times, quail hunting 4. Planned for, and scheduled a squirrel hunt in the San Mateos, but our officer over that way said squirrel population was way down, so didn't go.
I'm hoping for better this next year...Nov. 1, I should be joining the ranks of the retired!

Nov 15, you'll be on the lookout for quail, same as the rest of us.

Sure did! got lots of bunnies and quite a few pheasant too. My beagle hunts close to me and will run birds. When he puts a pheasant up it's usually in gun range.
