Hey Elvan and others down around the Eastern TN/Western NC area, what all is there to hunt besides deer, tree rats and turkey? Among some other job leads, I now have one in play from a golf course architect down in Asheville, NC and I wonder what all I will be able to go after if I end up there.

I know I can drive just a little South to my cousins' place in Greenville, SC and hunt quail all day. Are there any other game birds in that area, like grouse or pheasant or anything? Do I have to go to TN to get into possible elk hunting or are there any in NC too? Bear?

I reckon I should go find NC's DNR page or something and see what all kinds of seasons they offer and just work my way around from there.

You may as well forget the Elk hunting for a few more years. But bear and hog are along the TN and NC border. Should have good deer and turkey hunting in NC. For the other bird hunting, I could not help you.

Sorry it took so long to get back. My computer has fried, so I had to buy a new one. Still not having a job, it took a while.
