Still no foal, but there is news...

Seems that Kevin, the owner of Luna (Mother of the new foal) got out of the round pen and Bucky immediately did his part to add to the family...

Kevin asked "What are we going to do?"

I told him I didn't know what he was going to do, but I was working on sending him a bill for stud service.... :biglol:

Belle should whelp soon....I am glad that I will be here...

Well part II has arrived. Found this little red buckskin filly in the barn.
It was Belle's first but she did well. I watched the little lady wobble around, saw her first attempt to fertilize the earth and she finally found where breakfast came from.

So all functions seem to be in order. 4 stocking feet and a really whiteish tail.

The pic came from a Blackberry so its not the greatest. I will get more this evening.

And an update on Sassy the little filly...she is absolutely gorgeous...she is fat as a pig..
Everything momma eats goes to milk and we are feeding Omalene 300..
The vet saw her Friday and danged near stole her from us...
She is really pretty when not dirtied up.
She is dirty here, but the Paso/Ky Mountain cross shows up in her when she runs the ring at full gallop and you could balance an egg on her back....

The little guy looked good this morning.
I'm thinking that I will breed Belle back to the Buckmeister....he will have to be gelded soon...

He is one of the prettiest little horses I have seen. I wish he were about 16 hands.
But he will just make it to 15 like the other Ky Mountains do. Heck of a horse for someone with a dainter waist than myself.

Tom, he won't finish off growing til about 4, so he will be hillbilly free until then....

If he makes it to about 15 1/2 I'll be happy as a speckled pup in a meat shop.

Saw him bucking and running this morning. Just like his daddy...one foot on the ground at all times and nothing above the knee moves...he's gated...
