What kind of minnows do you folks have out that way? I know there is not much agua out there.
I am doing a molecular research project where I am taking the liver from minnows and testing for protein & possible DNA changes due to pollution. I do DNA & Protein fingerprinting on them.

(Next week I am running a set for a woman to test if there is any difference between domestic and wild skunk breeds. I wish Bluesman was here to help collect samples... )

We catch the little boogers in traps. Here we have fatheads, shiners, horny heads and such. I don't think that I have seen any of the Daces, but census taking on wildlife is not my field.
I am not a wildlife biologist and identifying any creature that is not from the local area ain't my game.
I am trying to see how far west these minnows are located.

(Might be the basis for a field trip!!!!!!)

Good gravey. Texas has more minnows than horses....
Didn't know there were that many kinds.

I was sworn to secrecy but now that you have let the horse out of the barn, Bluesman does have a catfish caller. I seen it late one night when we were all on the porch drinking beer and Woodford Reserve.
