Its all I use here as centere fires are not allowed.

But with a Leupold and modern caps, (I have never experienced a misfire)
its a different ballgame.

My CVA inline is just as accurate as a center fire out to 100 yards and in my opinion because they leave their energy in the animal and not in a tree on the other side, more deadly...

I'd have to concede to the traditional BP'ers that the modern version of muzzleloading is far from primitive...

Well, I will definitely give it a try this year. 3 deer are the limit for Ohio and maybe I can get one with the crossbow, one with the shotgun(slugs) and one with the blackpowder rifle.
Here's my newest toy (btw - hosted in the AOF picture gallery...:

The better scope will have to wait but the red dot is already bore-sighted in and very likely get completely sighted in this coming weekend.

Doc, I really, really appreciate your offer! To be honest it is not about the money (not that we would ever have enough though...) - but more about keeping my sweet wife calm about my spending on guns and ammo.
I will get the scope somewhen next month - at the moment the story with "look, I even used an old scope..." worked pretty good :biglol: and if it turns out that the red dot is really not optimal, then I simply have to get a new scope.

I don't know if it works the same way with American marriages but that way worked pretty good for me over the last 15 years..... and whoever is going to forward this to my wife is invited to be my next target holder :sparklr:

Tom I think what works best with American marriages is covertness and lies
.......ain't no coincidence that the CIA was started by married men.....:bigthink:

All successful honest marriages are built on a foundation of deception.....

(yes honey....you look good in that dress...why yes, I think you are losing weight....
why no! Meatloaf is supposed to have some "spring" in it.... )

What they don't know won't hurt them......

But What they do know can kill us........

My CVA inline is very accurate at the 150 mark and closer.
